The most creative, challenging, and rewarding project Mrs. Forbes ever undertook was homeschooling her own two children.  She was able, by God’s grace, to teach them from kindergarten through high school, but when they went to college she realized that she’d worked herself out of a job!  None of the things she found to do from then on—not working at a university, not supporting a major Christian ministry, not painting large-scale murals—were as creatively satisfying as that was.  Then she helped create Life Academy and rediscovered the challenge she had been missing.

Mrs. Forbes loves working to help her students develop confidence in and responsibility for their educational efforts.  She loves working to build a supportive and nurturing environment for her students to “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”  She loves using her creativity to meet the diverse educational needs of her students and to promote the school.
